Hello! Sorry I haven´t posted any outfits lately! I have been uploading them to @anapatips.o, which is my Instagram filled with outfit inspirations, but I promise to post them here as well. This one is part of the destination outfits, next stop: Italy. I went to study abroad to Milan and I fell in love, I mean pasta, pizza, gelato, cathedrals, fashion, and police men looking like models, what´s not to love? Immersed in the beauty of Italy there something you can´t ignore, the impeccable style of the Italian women. Their dresses were almost always classic silhouettes made to perfection (architectural cuts are also a bonus and textures are always a yes). Their makeup is demure, they are too beautiful to cover themselves and their accessories are to die for. Their shoes and their bags are gorgeous, well made, and with a lot of attention to detail, even in zippers and studs. They really know how to elevate an outfit so that´s what I wanted to recreate.

This dress shape is universally flattering; it clinches your waist and smoothes over hips and thighs. It is a feminine silhouette that based on its texture and fabric is truly versatile. Make it longer and in lace and you have a wedding gown, a shorter leather version is perfect for a night out and a lighter color and breazier texture would be the perfect sundress. This is the ideal garment to have as a canvas. It has a modern eyelet texture, which gives it a little detail without being too much. If you have a triangle shape keep the length mid thigh or lower so it can smooth over your curves. If you are an inverted triangle look for wide straps and ignore the ones with spaghetti straps or halter necklines. If you are apple shaped try a v neckline to elongate you and stay away from little prints. The wedges are amazing, they are such a statement shoe and will make your outfit pop. They are a great alternative to stilettos because they help your feet rest but they still make your legs look longer and leaner. Keep the rest of the outfit neutral so they can take center stage. This is a great way to show off those new shoes with a cool pattern or color! The purse also makes a statement, but when you keep the color neutral it isn’t competing with the shoes, it shines its own light. Keep the jewelry to a minimum, choose dainty pieces that will connect it all, and sunglasses are a must when you are traveling in the city. Breathe in that Italian elegance and go get that gelato!

¡Hola! Perdón por no haber subido outfits, los he estado subiendo a mi instagram @anapatips.o ahí si es solamente para ropa, pero prometo seguir subiendo aquí también. Este es parte de los outfits con destino, y el de hoy es Italia. Tuve la fortuna de ir a estudiar a Milán y me enamoré, estaba entre pasta, pizza, nieve, catedrales, moda y hasta policías que parecían salidos de un catálogo. Pero algo que no puede faltar en sus calles son las mujeres Italianas con su estilo impecable. Sus vestidos casi siempre eran de siluetas clásicas hechas a la medida (los cortes arquitectónicos y las texturas siempre eran un bonus). Su maquillaje es bastante natural, ya que son mujeres muy bonitas y no lo necesitan, y sus accesorios son para que se te caiga la baba. Sus zapatos y sus bolsos son obras de arte, hechos a la perfección y con muchísimo enfoque en los detalles, desde el zipper hasta el estoperol. Ellas saben cómo levantar cualquier outfit y quería recrear eso en este look.

La silueta del vestido es clásica y se le ve bien a todos los tipos de cuerpos, ya que te acintura y suaviza las caderas y los muslos. Es un vestido muy femenino y dependiendo de su textura y su tela puede ser usado en cualquier ocasión. Si llegará hasta el piso y estuviera hecho de encaje sería un vestido de novia, si fuera más corto y de piel sería ideal para una noche de fiesta, y si fuera más ligero y de colores llamativos sería el sundress para el verano. Es perfecto para adaptarlo a muchísimas situaciones y eventos diferentes. Su textura asimila un ojal moderno, que le da un aire más ligero. Si tienes un cuerpo de triángulo mantén el largo de la mitad de la pierna para abajo para que suavice tus caderas. Si eres un triángulo invertido entonces busca unos con tirantes más anchos y aléjate de los que tienen tirante muy delgado o son halter. Si tienes cuerpo de manzana busca un escote en v y evita los estampados muy pequeños. Estos tacones corridos están increíbles y serán los protagonistas de tu look. Son una muy buena alternativa a los tacones ya que así tus pies van a descansar un poco más pero como quiera te alargarán la figura y te harán ver más esbelta. Esta también es una excelente manera de lucir tus nuevos zapatos coloridos o con alguna textura increíble. La bolsa también tiene un factor wow, pero el color neutro hace que no compita con los zapatos, y que los dos brillen con sus propias luces. La joyería debe ser un toque elegante para que termine de armar todo el look, los lentes de sol son necesarios para los días de turistear. Ahora sí sal a turistear y ve a comer ese gelato!
