Hello everyone! This is a guide on how to pack your purse (heavy duty) or your backpack (a little lighter) for a trip! I will be start traveling because of work and I will need to be more effective in my bag! I always bring a bit more than I should and my bag ends up a bit heavier than what I hoped (thank-God they don’t ask me to weight it). I will give you two options on how to pack, for my purse I packed a lot because it was for my snow vacation in Whistler that lasted 10 days and the backpack will be for my upcoming trip to Los Angeles for work and I’ll be there 4 days. What I carry in my bag is not what I carry around everywhere, it’s for the road and also I always keep my valuables with me (camera, jewellery, electronics and sunglasses/glasses).

Purse

This is a roomy bag that can fit a world, all my belongings, and maybe even some flowers from my garden. There are a lot of bags that I love but they need to have some specific details to make them traveable (totally made that up). It has to have a zipper, especially when I am going to big cities or even dangerous ones, a zipper will be tougher for someone to try to steal your wallet and it makes it impossible to spill its stuff when you place your bag in the seat up front on the plane. It is more convenient and I keep my other bags in my carry on. Also I love Longchamps for travel because they clean easily, so if you place it in somewhere dirty (referring to the plane, I never leave my bag unattended), refer from using delicate bags so they don’t get hurt in the process.

1. Glasses, always carry them with you, they are an easy target to get stolen in your bag.
2. Kleenex, you never know, what if you are in a toilet stall and there is no paper? Kleenex is always there for you.
3. Headphones & Ipod, I love headphones because even if I fall asleep they don’t fall off my head.
4. Eos Lip Balm & Chapstick & Carmex, I was on a snow trip, they’re mandatory, normally I only carry two.
5. Lip stain, always something to look a little brighter.
6. Camara, I have a Nikon, I love taking pictures with it and they make a difference in the resolution and quality, its quite easy and fun. Remember to bring it fully charged.
7. Passport wallet, I bought it in Australia, it is big enough to carry every important paper, passport, visa and tickets. It makes it easier to have it all in one place than to scramble in your bag looking for your barding ticket.
8. Coin Purse, normally I don’t carry my big wallet everywhere so a little coin purse with some cards and cash is easy for a night out, fits in your purse and its more safe to carry around.
9. Earplugs, you never know, planes, buses, rides, the neighbours in your hotel or even your own friends.
10. Antibacterials, no explanation necessary.
11. Mints, no explanation necessary.
12. Pencil case, pens, eraser, a sharpener, a little bit of everything even a usb, and always a sharpie.
13. Ipad, I normally don’t take it but i have my magazine subscriptions in there so It’s easier to carry just one Ipad than the thousand magazines I like to buy (and probably still will).
14. Head pillow, I might look weird but I am so comfortable.
15. Notes notebook and a sketchbook, I love writing and drawing so I need to have several with me.
16. A book, Mindy Kaling is so funny, I love a great book and please look at the kangaroo as a bookmark =D.
17. Big Wallet, it’s got all the juice in there.
18. Bloating Papers, because it’s get hot in here (you know you were singing it).
19. Sunglasses, you always need one.
20. Pill case, don’t worry, I have tylenol, something for the cramps and something for my stomach, always one step ahead.
21. Charger for my phone, it always dies.

Remember to add magazines and a snack and you are ready to go! This is my big purse packing, we will now go to option number two.

Backpack

This is a “croc” skin backpack I got when I was a intern at Sportsgirl and I just can’t get enough. It has inside pockets and it doesn’t look like your typical “I have to go to school” backpack. They are great for when you are having a heavy paced trip, it helps your poor arms (nothing is worse than having to exchange arms because one shoulder can’t keep carrying the bag) and it’s hands free! But beware of creepers, if its unsafe you can have a lock or put it in front like a little baby.

1. Travel Wallet, always.
2. Ipad, and yes it is a new protector, couldn’t resist it.
3. Sunglasses.
4. Mints.
5. Pill case.
6. Lip-stain.
7. Earplugs.
8. Mini wallet, extra small, extra cute, no big bulk.
9. Antibacterial.
10. Eos Lip balm.
11. Bloating Paper.
12. Ipod with earphones, space is key now.
13. Small camera, I won’t be taking my professional one, this one is lighter and remember I am going for work, I will be with my boss, not my professional photographer, keeping it classy.
14. Kleenex.
15. Sketchpad.
16. Small pencil case.
17. Glasses
18. Head Pillow.

Well guys I hope this makes it easier for you to make an edit! I know it’s hard but priority is key! But there is always room for magazines and chocolate!

Bolsa llena y lista para salir

¡Hola a todas! Esta es una guía para que empacar en tu bolsa de mano (pesada) o en una backpack (más ligera) para un viaje. Empezaré a viajar mucho por mi trabajo y necesito ser muy efectiva. Siempre llevo más de lo que necesito y termina estando un poco pesada para cargar (menos mal no me la pesan en las aerolíneas que traigo más peso que la grande). Les daré dos opciones, la pesada fue para cuando me fui a esquiar a Whistler por 10 días y la otra será para ahorita que me voy a Los Angeles 4 días. Lo que llevo en mi bolsa no siempre es con lo que cargo, siempre llevo lo más valioso, como joyería, lentes de sol y de ver, cámara, dinero y electrónicos.

Bolsa

En esta bolsa me cabe el mundo, una parte de México y hasta unas colchas. Hay muchas bolsas que me encantan y me encantaría llevarme pero tienen que estar de una específica manera para que las considere. Tiene que tener zipper, más si vas a un lugar grande, ya que el zipper lo hace más difícil de que te roben y de que se te caigan las cosas cuando pones tu bolsa en la parte de abajo del asiento de enfrente.  Es más conveniente y las otras bolsas las traigo en mi carry-on. Me encantan las Longchamp para viajar porque son fáciles de limpiar y los aviones no son los lugares más limpios, entonces no me llevo bolsas muy delicadas que se podrían manchar (y eso que nunca suelto a la mía).

1. Lentes, siempre llevamos contigo que son fáciles de querer robar.
2. Kleenex, ¿qué si no hay papel en el baño en el que te metiste? Siempre hay un uso para ellos.
3. Audifonos grandes y mi Ipod, me encanta escuchar música y así aunque me quede dormida me puedo dormir sin que se me caigan.
4. Eos Lip Balm & Chapstick & Carmex, siempre traigo varios, es costumbre, no me gustan los labios partidos.
5. Lipstick, no hay excusa para no verte linda.
6. Cámara, tengo una Nikon y me encanta, se ve la diferencia de calidad de imágenes y es super fácil de usar, recuerda cargarla.
7. Cartera de pasaporte, me la compré en Australia y es el mejor invento del mundo, mantiene todos tus documentos en un lugar y hace más fácil todo el proceso.
8. Monedero, le caben tarjetas y efectivo, cuando sales de noche es muy práctica y así no tienes que andar con todo tu dinero.
9. Tapones para los oídos, cualquiera puede roncar, el del avión, el del camión, y hasta tus amigas.
10. Antibacterial, no necesitan explicación.
11. Mentas, no necesitan explicación.
12. Estuche con plumas, borrador, lápiz, usb y sharpie, y de todo de lo que pueda necesitar para dibujar.
13. Ipad, normalmente no me la llevo pero como tengo varías revistas que compre ahí entonces hace que el peso de mi bolsa baje mucho y sigo pudiendo leerlas.
14. Almohada para la cabeza, me puedo ver chistosa pero es deliciosa.
15. Libreta para notas y para dibujar, me encanta escribir y dibujar y siempre llevo varias conmigo.
16. Un libro, el de Mindy Kaling está chistosísimo, siempre es bueno llevar un libro y vean el canguro que tengo de separador.
17. Cartera grande, ahí es donde está la magia.
18. Papelitos del sudor, a nadie le gusta verse acalorado y grasoso.
19. Lentes de sol, siempre necesitas.
20. Pastillero, no se preocupen, llevo algo para el dolor de cabeza, el cólico y el dolor de panza, mujer precavida vale por dos.
21. Cargador para mi celular que siempre muere.

Recuerden llevar revistas y algo para el antojo. Sigue como empacar versión número dos.

Mochila

Esta es mi mochila de “cocodrilo” que compré cuando estuve de pasante en Sportsgirl y me encanta y me vuelve loca. Tiene compartimentos adentro y no se ve como si vas a clase de biología. Me encantan ya que son súper cómodas y es necesario darle un break a tus pobres hombros que se cansan de cargar bolsas pesadas, y tus brazos son libres. Tengan cuidado de gente sospechosa, pueden ponerle candado o ponérsela enfrente si sienten peligro.

1. Cartera de viajes, siempre.
2. Ipad y sí, es una cubierta nueva, no me resistí.
3. Lentes de sol.
4. Mentas.
5. Pastillero.
6. Lipstick.
7. Tapones para los oidos.
8. Carterita, así cabe en todos lados y no toma mucho espacio.
9. Antibacterial.
10. Eos Lip Balm.
11. Toallitas para el sudor.
12. Ipod con audífonos chicos, queremos ahorrar espacio.
13. Cámara chiquita, como esta vez es de trabajo no me quiero llevar la grande, es pesada y no voy con mi familia en la que alguien me tomará fotos, es con la gente de la oficina, mantenerlo profesional.
14. Kleenex.
15. Libreta para dibujar.
16. Estuche pequeño.
17. Lentes para ver.
18. Almohada para la cabeza.

¡Bueno chicas espero que esto les ayude mucho! Sé que es difícil eliminar las cosas (el rival más débil) pero hay que tener prioridades. ¡Eso sí, siempre hay espacio para revistas y chocolates!
